African American Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations for 2008 Eagle Award

Themed “Celebrating Business Excellence,” the ceremony will acknowledge exceptional Orlando area businesses and talent that helped Central Florida garner the reputation of being one of the best communities in the United States in which to do business.   Annually attracting more than 300 attendees, including entrepreneurs, prominent business leaders, and public officials, the event raises awareness of business diversity in Central Florida and honors those contributing to the economic vitality of the community.

“Our Chamber is pleased to once again celebrate contributions to business innovation and individuals that have secured great entrepreneurial accomplishments,” states Ronald O. Rogers, Chamber Board Chairman. “The awardees for Entrepreneur of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Corporate Recognition, and the Eagle Award will be selected from customer or vendor nominations based on specific criteria related to corporate successes and community contributions.”  

Universal Orlando Resort is the title sponsor; however, additional corporate sponsorship opportunities are available through the Chamber office. Reservations to attend the Eagle Award Ceremony can be made on-line through the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida website calendar page at www.blackcommerce.org, or by emailing reservations@blackcommerce.org. The cost is $100 per person.
